Here are some highlights
Members and guests enjoyed a day of worship, singing praise, spending time in His Word, and fellowship during the 2023 joint Spring Workshop. Registration fee for Chimney Rock Zone members was delegated to the Chimney Rock Zone treasury to help with delegate expenses to convention this summer.
The day opened with Pastor Strawn leading Matins Worship Service. Chimney Rock Zone welcomed all to the joint Christian Growth Workshop with a letter from LWML District President Terri Denniston, read by Wyoming District Representative Roxie England. Pastor Grams lead us in Bible Study based on the theme verse from Psalm 86:11.
After lunch Pastors Strawn and Maas gave a presentation: Project Pastor Education West Africa, followed by an update on the LWML Wyoming District Online Presence presented by Kylie Kindred and Sheila Phelps.
Eye glasses and sewn eyeglass cases were collected by local societies. These will be brought to National Convention as part of Gifts From the Heart for MOST Ministries.
A monetary ingathering for Project Pastoral Education West Africa was collected. Also, Roxi Engeland, standing in for Stanna Funk, VP Gospel Outreach, presented a $5,000 check fulfilling Grant #5: Sierre Leone Mission Society. Accepting for the Sierra Leone Mission Society were Pastor Maas and Pastor Strawn.
